Details of Experience:
Mr. John Smith arrived at Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing on October 29th, 2020, following his stay at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville for open heart surgery. Mr. Smith was greeted here at Manchester Center by many of our team members. Within his first 24 hours the Therapist, Social Worker, Physicians, and other Administrative team members had been in to speak with Mr. Smith and answer many of his questions. Mr. Smith was eager to get the much needed support from our Rehabilitation team to help him gain his strength back.

Upon admission, Mr. Smith was unable to walk 100 feet and could not go up and down stairs due to muscle weakness and low endurance. Within 2 weeks he had significant improvement working with our therapy team. He began walking over 250 feet with his walker and was able to go up and down more than 4 steps at a time without getting fatigued. On November 14th, Mr. Smith was discharged home with his wife planning to proceed with home health and therapy for continued improvement.

Manchester Center is so happy for Mr. Smith and the physical gains that he enjoyed while staying in our community.
